The New Playstation 3 Slim has finally arrived in it's superb new sleek design with all the great features and technology of it's predecessor. With the release of New Playstation 3 Slim software will be upgraded to version 3.00 on September 1. This update will add numerous user-friendly features such as the "What's New" screen, where users can browse the new items available in the PlayStation Store as well as their recently played games with short cuts to each piece of content. The PS3 Slim will evolve with the updates improving further the user experience available through the network. PS3 slim users will be able to experience great new features simply by updating the PS3 system software to version 3.00 via the "System Update" function.

Simply connect your PS3 slim to a Sony BRAVIA TV with an HDMI cable and you can directly operate the XMB on the PS3 Slim using the TV remote. Another feature of the PS3 slim is the "System Standby" that will automatically turn off the console when the BRAVIA TV is turned off.
